Hi guys, I just got a last-minute contract to supply a bunch of very short AVI-based clips (50 or so, from 15 to 60 sec duration each). Application is for sports so they need to be fairly dynamic but in most cases there won’t even be video involved, more likely stills as a motion background with text fly-ins etc.

So the question is, before I go out and dump another bundle on a fancy desktop, can I do this type of minimalist work on a reasonable laptop? I am currently running CS4 Production on my Dell and it seems to run PP & AE fine.

Delvery medium is very simple, AVIs on a USB drive, so no need to run Encore etc.

    Thanks
