Hi I am looking to buy/build a miniature tracking system that I can use for smooth close ups and macro work. I am looking for something that has fine control and used horizontally and vertically. I have searched the web but can’t find anything; I was wondering if anyone knew of a system like this.
    Cheers

I use this thing like it was going out of style, and it offers some very, very finite control for motion macro shots. As a far as making one yourself, I tried to do something similar to this befroe I knew it existed, but the results were not as positive.

Been looking into that skater-model myself, and it seems to do a very good job on those small subtle motion shots. Also quite versatile, and can be used for longer camera movements.
