    What brand of cassette do you think works best for the Canon XL1-s? I’ve been buying some cheap Maxell cassettes from Wal-Mart, and of course had a problem with one. What do you suggest?

    Panasonic or Sony. They both have a ‘Master’ series of Mini DV cassettes. I personally use the Panasonic 83 min. Master Series. Great tapes.
