Mimic frame by frame painted animations texture
Hello everyone, after several days of unsuccessfully searching for an answer to this problem, I’m posting the question on this great forum to see if someone can guide me in the right direction: I have a sequence of PNG frames in my timeline, obviously on a single layer. What I need is to separate each frame of that layer into a different layer, assign a duration of 12 frames to each layer, overlap it with the next layer for 6 frames, and create a crossfade in those 6 overlapping frames. What would be the best way to automate this process? Is it a script, or does After Effects have an internal solution for this that I’m not aware of? The effect I’m looking for is like those old animations of animated paintings, where each frame blended into the next, creating a very particular visual effect. Thank you all very much!
