Setting up a new NLE studio and the audio patch bay I was given uses military jacks. Is there a problem using standard 1/4 phono plugs?

Dont exactly understand what Military jacks are. I suspect theyre what in the UK are termed GPO jacks. In any case yes theres a problem. GPO jacks are a different thickness, so youll stretch the sockets causing instability. Additionally the measurements between tip ring and sleeve on the 2 are completely different leading to possible shorting or incorrect connection problems.
Use the right jacks for the right bay.

NB I prefer Bantam jacks wired to a Krone block these days. NO soldering
