July 6, 2006 at 4:33 amPersonally I never use migration utilites, the best way to do things for max stability… is backup your data and erase your HD install you new system fresh, and put back you data from backups.

July 7, 2006 at 5:07 pmNot trying to be thick: Isn’t the migration utility a fresh install with the utility copying all your docs and preferences to the new system? Does anyone have any experience or reports of this not working as well as doing it yourself?

July 8, 2006 at 1:46 pmI can’t imagine it will give you any trouble if you’re concerned backup your files and then make sure you do it when you have plenty of time to fix any problems if you run into them…
I’d give it a try post back if you hit any problems…
