    Hi all,

I’ve done a load of Googling and searching of the Adobe forums etc, and (surprisingly to me) can’t find an answer to this.

How do I transfer my custom keyboard layout from my Mac to a Windows machine?

Copying the .kys file doesn’t work as it throws up an error message saying that the layout was created on an incompatible device.

I’ve also tried ‘sync settings from a different account’ and inputting my credentials, but for some reason this isn’t updating my keyboard layout either. No idea whether or not this is a bug in CC 2014, as the same thing happened yesterday going from my Mac to a client’s Mac. That’s another question entirely though I think.

Any help would be much appreciated here!

    Thanks,

I’m pretty sure that they are incompatible. Would love it not to be the case. I have a doc with all my shortcuts so I can start from scratch & also remind myself what’s where.

Thanks, it was looking like it wasn’t possible so it’s good to get it confirmed by someone else. Wish it wasn’t the case but I suppose it’s understandable given the lack of a CMD key on Windows.

I ended up just doing it the hard way and modified the layout from scratch every time I pressed something that didn’t do what my custom keyboard normally does!
