Migrating from FCP to Premiere. I had a few issues with FCP, but not getting into them just for now.

I’m working on my first Premiere project and kind of enjoying the simpleness of the interface, a bit bugged by the fact that my intensity pro card is still not working on my mac using premiere, and editing in HDV is very slow.

I have a question for all you people that have been using this software for some time now.

I captured HDV video from a deck using Premiere, when I created my project I just specified that it was HDV and that’s that. Now I that I edited my video I want to de-interlace it. So I control click on each clip, go to field options and de-interlace it. My question is, do I have to make my sequence de-interlace also, because it’s not letting me, and I know I will expect them to be there.

    Thanks

    Pablo

You can set the export settings to Progressive and that will sort the issue out for you. Run some tests, first you don’t need to deinterlace any clips for the progressive export setting to work, doing so might create some odd results, but test it.
Try doing a test against the Max Quality Setting ticked on export and your sequence too.

PS: hope that Premiere Pro treats you well.
