Is there a way to keep both 8 and 6.5 on the same computer? How do I toggle back and forth between the two versions without uninstalling 8? As of now I have 8 installed and don’t know how to access 6.5 on my computer. Was it automatically uninstalled when I upgraded to 8?

No, sorry. One or the other. Unless you partition your hard drive and make a separate OS on the other partition…dual boot.

Yes…if you want to have access to MC 6.5, you need to uninstall MC 8 and reinstall MC 6.5. You might need to deactivate MC8 first and Activate MC 6.5. Before you do anything it’s best to contact Avid and ask them the best course of action to maintain your activation. Do this on the Avid forums, or the Avid Editors of Facebook page…ping Marianna Montigue, as she’s the leader in this type of thing.

Script Sync does work on MC 7.0.4. We have several systems and left one on this version just for scriptsync and are having no issues. Unless you need something very specific from v.8 then v.7 is pretty solid for us – might be a good compromise.
