  • Migrating Element 3D “My Models” Folder

I’ve upgraded computers and installed AE CC 2020 and nearly all of the Video Copilot assets have been a simple copy & paste into the plugins folder. However, while Element recognizes and displays all previously installed models, all of my custom-built models I’ve saved over the years into the “My Models” folder will not open in the viewport. The icons do show up in the list, as do the textures, but the models themselves do not render. In fact, the names of each model (upon trying to open) will be displayed in red text. I might point out I’ve installed After Effects on the data drive since this new computer has a relatively small solid state C:// drive, but the models do all show up in the My Models folder as .E3D files; they just don’t happen to render out. Any suggestions?
