Microsoft Built In Compressor sufficient?
I have Adobe Premiere Pro 2. I don’t have any digital capture hardware or anything like that.
I am running my video through some color correction filters. When I render the footage, I assume it’s using Microsoft’s DV AVI codec. I’ve heard this codec isn’t the best.
Even though my final output is an MPEG-2 file (for export into Encore), I think it’s still using the codec to render the color correction filters.
1. Is that right?
2. If so, is the codec it’s using good enough not to cause any significant quality loss?
3. Is there anyway to change what codec Premiere uses for this?
