microsoft av/c tape subunit device
Vegas 8.0 is not recognizing my JVC HD 200 and gives me the error message “microsoft av/c tape subunit device could not be opened.”
Any suggestions?

You are connecting with a fire wire right? Capture setings = HDV right? Make sure your camera is not set to down convert to DV.
Can Windows movie Maker see the camera? If your running Windows 7 64 bit, you need to switch your IEEE-1394 drivers to the older Legacey drivers, and it should see it then. Hoe this helps, Danny Hays
