Microphone holder on 305 failed
Just like the persistent problem on the Sony Z1 , the first microphone holder come adrift from our Canon 305 cameras. Small screws, short
thread, too much leverage – thread stripped and £300 quote for replacement handle body. We bought aftermarket metal mounts for the Z1’s but I haven’t seen a solution for the 305. Has anyone experience/advice to share. Thanks . Mike
PS Can ANYONE at Sony or Canon explain why such an obvious weak point is built into these otherwise super cameras – they must know they’re bought for tough service. -
