    Greetings,
In my interview the other day, my mic was going out at the top of the interview. I caught it early, I thought, and switched mics. However, my first sot is pretty thrashed. I’ve attached a file to view, but you can clearly hear the pops from the mic all the way through. Is there a way to clean this up in Premiere or Audition? So far, I can’t find anything on Lynda or YouTube. I’ve attached a file if it helps.

You should start with a general search, Googling what you’re trying to find, rather than starting with specific sources. I found this just by Googling “Cleaning mic pops in Audition” – it was the first result:

Is this the original recording or an export of it?
Might be worth checking the original recording if the Mic pops are just on one of the stereo tracks, I have encountered this before where the left channel is clean audio and the right channel is static and crackles. If this is the case then just copy paste the clean audio onto both sides.

Hi Mr. Bourke, yup. That fixed it. Thanks so much, story of my life…. making things more difficult than they need to be.

    Have a great day!

Glad it worked. Sometimes the simplest solutions take the longest amount of time to find.
