Mic Equipment or Set Up?
Ok so admittedly I’m not the best at audio. Never really have been but I try my best.
In short:
-Company buys me an HMC150 and wireless lavaliere with NO xlr cable (Sennheiser ew100g2)
-We buy an xlr converter (from the original line into an xlr)
-I can’t hear anything out of the lav no matter what channel/input or line/mic selection I chooseAny ideas on this would be great. Usually I’m good enough to figure it out by myself but I’m wondering if maybe it’s the xlr converter cable itself?
I’m used to the general set up (which works for me) of selection the input my mic is on, and then adjusting the levels as needed.
What’s happening?!!? 🙂-Alex-

Connect the lav directly to the camera first and confirm it works- then work in the wireless kit.
