MFX Audio Crashes Premier Pro CS3
I received some footage on a FS-100 drive (shot on the Panansonic HVX-200), copied it to my hard drive and then attempted to import the footage into PPro(CS3-constantly updated.) It crashed the program.
Eventually, I figured out that the Video Files (the “w” files for HD) would import and play back perfectly. But any of the audio files R,L A,B all crash the program. This happens if I choose File>Import or if I drag the files in.
Fortunately, I don’t need these audio files, but still, it shouldn’t be crashing the program.
Any thoughts? Similar problems?

Got exactly the same problem: video works fine but audio “crashes” premiere and aftereffects. Can get around this and I’m still waiting for some reply from the fs100 resaller. The stuff in the p2 cards always worked smoothly.I can playback the footage with audio from the fs100 to the hvx200, so I know it´s there. I had to dub it into tape, then capture it and sync it. Did you find out something about this already? Does anyone know why this could happen? -
Ok, just found out what I was doing wrong. Before you can copy the files from the fs100, you must go to the “Utilities” page (on the firestore unit) and select “Organize P2”. The fs100 will then correctly organize the footage (along with the audio) into the folders compatible with what Premiere cs3 recognizes as a DVCPROHD P2 file (contents, video, audio, voice, proxy…). After this, just copy the “Contents” folder onto your pc hard drive and import it in premiere.
