Mezzo does not backup media
Update Mezzo 3.7 installed on our Avid 2.0.2 Xpress (Mac OS8.1 Powermac). BUT, Mezzo does NOT backup the media files (they are shown as ‘missing’), it does backup the project & bins. Mezzo does not seem to ‘see’ the media drives. Am I overlooking a Mezzo setting? How can I get Mezzo to backup the media? Older version of Mezzo worked just fine, until it started crashing the system and I can’t re-install the older version. I know the system is old, but it still gets a lot of use. Thanks.

Does it support MXF MediaFiles? Are you capturing as OMF?

I had an incorrect setting. From the Options menu go to System scanner set to ‘Media Composer 7 or Greater’ and relaunch Mezzo. The thing that makes no sense is that I’m using Xpress 2.0 and so I wrongly heeded the warning ‘for Media Composer 7 or Greater ONLY’ on this setting!
The answer came from mvegas at the Avid forum for Mac Xpress.
