    Mew Mac Pro 12 Core issue

    Can someone please tell me if my new very expensive computer is under performing?

    Mac pro
    2.7HGz
    32GB Ram
    12 CORE
    D700s

    I load a0 1280×720 mp4 file 6 mins long into resolve to watch and it plays down at 13 FPS?

    Thoughts and help please?

    That mp4 could be anything—H.264, AVI, MKV, etc. Is it camera original or encoded already from another format? Find the original and flip it to ProRes. Even the best spec’d computer may not play it efficiently in Resolve.

    resolve and mp4 are no buddies 🙁

    transcode to prores and you should be flying…
