    Hi,

I’m trying to create a shot in space with a meteor flying past the camera and drifting towards Earth (similar to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WLd_dVXXhg)

I’ve made the earth, and I made an asteroid by using the CC Sphere plugin on a molten rock texture. But I can’t get the meteor to fly past the camera at the right speed. I keyframe it’s scale and position but it just drifts at the same speed – and it should drift very fast past the camera and then slow down as it gets further away. Just like in the posted youtube vid.

Here is a screenshot of my project…https://img510.imageshack.us/img510/1984/picture2cb.png

    Thanks,

    Gully

This might be what you’re looking for…

Don’t use scale to affect the meteor size. Adjust the meteor layer z position to move the meteor in relation to the camera.

    Hope this helps.

    Bob
