Metalogging Workspace – What do the “chain” icons mean?
Under Metalogging Workspace, I have ‘chain’ icons next to the descriptor fields, i.e Tape Name, Description, Comment. etc.
What is the purpose of these? I looked under Adobe Help and there is not one mention of them. (sigh).
I was hoping they would simply copy the last entry on the previously logged clip or something .
Right clicking does not bring up context help on this.

Clip metadata is stored in the project, the chain keeps it synced with the corresponding XMP metadata field in the file itself (thus making the info portable with the media file).
