Metadata Zoom Level
I have some footage I shot with the SG-Blade attached to an HPX170. I removed it, shot some more without the adapter and all that good stuff. Problem happened after reattaching and adjusting the Blade. I had to go up to Z99 to get a full frame (which macros the hell out of my lens).
So now I’m trying to figure out the Z-Level within the Metadata on my first clips, so I can physically adjust the Blade to its previous position.
Basically, how do I figure out a clips Zoom from a P2 file on my Mac?

You mean metadata from the lens adapter- I doubt that’s possible. You would need to just eyeball it.

No, no. I mean the the Zoom of the camera onto the focusing screen of the adapter. Sorry if I didn’t clarify.
Let’s just say I want to get the Z level from a specific shot (no adapter attached). How would I dig that out of the Metadata?

As far as I know, that information is not stored in the metadata like it would be in a still or other high end video camera.

Yeah that’s such an inexact science anyway I’d just manually figure it out.

I figured it out by fumbling around with it. I was able to get the Zoom backed out to 80 and it looks rather brilliant. Thanks guys.

You’re correct, it’s not stored in the standard P2 metadata.
