    I don’t think it’s possible since the metaballs are continually generating a new surface and the cloner has to recalculate each time the surface changes. Maybe you can use vertex mode and use another method to give it more randomness. Maybe a Random effector or shader effector with noise shader affecting visibility?

    That’s kinda what I thought. Vertex mode works pretty good, I’ll go from there.
