I have a potential client who wants me to re-edit a video they had produced. They’ll give me a clean version without any on-screen titles, but they want me to match the fonts that they use consistently. They said that they would give me a CD with meta fonts on it for me to use.

Question….How would I use these? How would i install these fonts so I can re-type their graphics in Graffiti and edit onto the video?

    Thanks.

You should ask them for the True Type Font or the Open Type font. They should provide those to you. In Windows follow the steps below.

Installing OpenType or TrueType Fonts in Windows
We recommend installing only one format

Thanks so much for the detailed info. However I would be installing on a MAC G4 and editing in Media 100i. Any suggestions?

go to users\(your home folder}\library\fonts folder and place them in there. then restart your applications that are open that you want to use that font in. that should do it.
