If a mesh warp is applied to a layer and then it’s rotated, the mesh rotates w/ the layer.

But I can’t seem to rotate the mesh on an adjustment layer. If I could rotate, the distortion would be much easier to create.

The effect is to have moving objects distort as they pass over another object, so applying the effect directly wouldn’t work easily.

Any way to rotate the mesh that anyone knows of?

    Thanks

    I see what you mean.

If you could make a Displacement map that produces the distortion you need, then it not too hard with a little precomposing and Distort >Displacement Map. But making that distortion map is often not intuitive and not easy.If you could make a Displacement map that produces the distortion you need, then it not too hard with a little precomposing and Distort >Displacement Map. But making that Displacement Map (often grayscale gradient) is often not intuitive and nor easy.

Can you be more specific on the distortion that needs mesh warp being rotated?

Another possible tack. Can you just put the effect Distort > Twirl below Mesh Warp on your adjustment layer? Controlling the radius limits the reach of the effect.
