Merging Projects from two drives
A while back we were working on a project and the deadline was fast approaching, so the boss had us copy our project to another drive and had two people working at the same time. now we need to pull all the sequences together on one drive and I am not sure how that is done. any pointers? can it even be done?

Open Both Projects at the same time.
Pull out the Browser from one of the projects so you can see both Browsers side by side.
Copy all necessary elements from one project to the other by simply dragging them from one Browser to the Other.
Save the Master Project.
You’re done.

Isn’t he going to end up with lots of duplicated items?
You’ll have to go through the thing one item at a time, deleting what you don’t want.I’d make some decisions upstream first and then follow Walter’s procedure. I’d open each project independently, save it as a copy, and then start deleting everything you know you don’t need; earlier versions of sequences, unused footage, obsolete effects and graphics, bad takes, duplicates.
Then I’d merge the projects.

Are you talking about the media? Or just the project/sequences?
If it’s just the projects/sequences, do what Walter suggested. If you need to consolidate media, then it’s a bit more involved, but doable.
