    Merging Metadata into one asset record

    Over time, we have copied asset records for the same file into multiple catalogs. Now those records are slightly different. Is there a way to merge the metadata together, so all of the records have all of the same metadata?

    This is not a case where the data would be contradictory, there are just different fields filled out in different catalogs.

    I hope that makes sense.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Yes, you can use the Paste Metadata command for that, telling it to merge or append the data rather than overwriting it. (You need to enable advanced menus via the General tab of Preferences to see that command.)
