Is it possible to merge clips in FCP and deliver the project to the sound editors without it being a huge problem or do I need to keep the media files separate and only link them in the timeline? Thanks!

Hello Ryan and welcome to the Cow Audio Forum.

I think that’s more a FCP question, but you should be able to export the audio fro the FCP File Menu, right?

I think as part of that process it asks you if you want the video files as well.

Try it, see what happens and let us know.

It depends on how you are exporting it to your sound editors – if you are dealing with OMFs, then merged clips work just fine. If you are doing it via an XML workflow then they may not. Hope this helps.
