I am working in PhotoShop to create an overlay for a menu in DVD Studio Pro. It must be in black and white. Basically it consists of a white background and various layers of text over it. To work in DVD SP, these layers must be merged together. If I can do this, then I can have my other layers for the menu in the same file. If not, I have to create two files when just one would do. What is driving me nuts is that I have made three menus this way, but I’m not sure exactly what I did to make it work and why it won’t work now. When I use the Layers>Merge Down command, nothing happens (it is grayed out in the menu). I’ve read the manual and tried making the white background both with filling a layer and with paint bucket. I’ve tried rasterizing the layers. I’m missing some step that makes two layers see each other. Any ideas?
