I did an animation in one project that looked really good. I shot a new video clip and I imported a #d track that I did into a new project. I go to the Merge under the file menu to merge together the animation and objects from another project which works fine. I am havign problems repostioning the imported objects to a new location. I am trying to select all the key frames and the object and drag them. The problem is it is not dragging the key frames in the animation just the objects. What am I doing wrong?

That won’t work. A keyframe is a unique property/ state of animation at a given time and unfortunately C4D has no such thing as “move animation path”. You can however affect multiple keyframes by adding values numerically in the F-Curve editor or coordinate manager. All input fields in C4D support basic math, so if yoou enter +100 for instance, it will be added to the original value rather than setting it as an new absolute value.

Putting your merged animated object under a Null and then move the Null should work.

    Cheers

You are so right. Why do those simple and obvious solutions always escape me? I seriously need a holiday *lol*. Thanks Lennart.

Thanks!, After I posted here late last night I thought of that and it did work! I needed to shoot a new background that had more light but it was a pain getting this much animated and I didn’t wnat to loose it. Here is the 3 second clip.
