memory/video card or both
Hi all
Just upgraded to Studio2 and just as before, my motion is stop and go. I am using a g5 dual 2ghz 3 gb sdram.
aty r350 128mb video card.
Do I need more memory and a new video card to stop this from happening. I cannot run motion and it is annoying.

You need a much beefier graphics card to run Motion 3 well. Not sure what the latest and greatest card is for that machine. We have the nVidia Ultra 6800 and from the little bit we have tried on the G5 Dual 2.0, Motion 3 works fine.

I agree with Walter fully. Motion is almost completely dependent on your video card. Look at Apple’s website for the complete specs and recommendations of what is needed to run Motion.

I think the best card for that machine might be the ATI X800 XT.
