Medical Video Liability?
I’ve been asked to provide an estimate for shooting a video with a doctor/nurse showing how to apply a specific product to someone’s skin. It’s a topical anesthetic cream that makes a mask which peels off. Originally they were going to provide all on-camera talent. Now thhey are asking me to provide a model/actress as the patient. Is there any liability for me? How would you handle this/ Thanks.

Have the model / actress sign a waiver with the medical company, NOT you. In fact, have the medical company hire the model directly instead of you. You can put out the casting call and even recommend a few models to the medical company. But under no circumstances should you sign the model to a contract and pay them yourself. Let the medical company maintain the liability if something goes wrong.
