I’m just getting up to speed on Motion (sort of), I’ve been using FCP for about a year. But, I’m getting hung up on one thing.
I’m trying to trim media before I put it on the timeline. The bug is this…I put a clip in the media tab, go to the inspector and try to trim with the timing windows. Problem is, when they get to close in time, they zero out and I’m left with one frame to work with. They won’t budge off their times. It seems like a bug or maybe a parameter I have set wrong somewhere. Any ideas?
I know I can trim on the timeline, but if I have a 5 minute clip and need only a few seconds, what’s the best way? I would hope I wouldn’t have to run it through FCP to create a new shorter clip.
    I’m running Motion 2.1.2 on a MacPro.
