    Media Tool crashes AVID

    I tried this three times in a row, and each time it crashed at the same point.

    1. Put a sequence in its own bin
    2. Click on Media Tool
    3. Select Master Clips and Pre Computes (on two separate hard drives)
    4. Click OK

    The process starts for a second or two then I get this message: “Segmentation fault” in thread “MainThread” at address 0x0.

    Then Media Composer crashes.

    Any ideas????

    Update: Now just opening that project gives me the same error and crash.
    I’m assuming something wrong with that particular project, since others don’t do it.

    Try a new project and load the bin with the sequence you need. Try media tools again as before. Could it be a damaged MXF database?
