Of course it always happens on the home stretch of a project…
Been editing a simple program with 2 channels of video, 4 layers of graphics.
While working in Marquee I returned to my timeline and found that the last 7 minutes of video from a clip has “disappeared” and is showing as “media offline” I tried relinking the media in several configurations with no success, de-selected read only from my media files, and rebooted my system and the hard drive a couple of times. Strange, it’s right in the middle of a clip that the video disappears.
I’m running ExpressDV HD 5.1.2, HP 8200 workstation, XP, and a Caldigit VR raid drive via firewire. Now, the drive is saying there’s only 10% disk space left…would that be causing this problem? Another clip that I captured but haven’t started working on is also showing as media offline. Original material is DVCam captured with a Sony DSR-45.
(Yes I know I need to upgrade to MediaComposer.) 🙂
Thanks for any suggestions and help!

    Thanks,
    bt

did you try to delete the database files from the media files folder? maybe they got damaged. Avid rebuilds them then right away.
