Media reader that reads FCP timecode????
Posted by Adrian Zehn on May 22, 2006 at 6:41 pmHi,
I’m looking for a media reader that will read FCP timecode (so they can open the quicktimes and see the timecode) so someone who is on a mac but doesn’t have FCP can log tapes. Does this exist?

May 22, 2006 at 7:33 pmThanks for those suggestions….
Those apps look great and I will suggest to my boss that the company buys one of them…..
But in the meantime I have actually found a freeware player that will do it:
Sebsky Tools: https://www.dharmafilm.com/sebskytools/download.html
This little app converts FCP media files to AVID omfi and vica versa……but also can just play quicktimes and display the correct timecode off the tape….
Doesn’t have all the great logging tools those other apps suggested have…..but will do the job for a while…..
