    Hi All….

We have run into an issue in AME which is causing us some headaches. We are using a combo of PPRO, AE and AME to set up batches of footage encodes. In some instances when we work this way, the 1st 12-20 frames of the the render of each output clip displays the yellow “media pending” frame baked into the render in place of the actual media of the file.

    Here’s our current workflow:

    1) ProRes Source
    2) Drop in sequence in PPro
    3) Split source into clips using razor
    4) Select all from timeline
    5) Go to After Effects
    6) Paste into Comp
    7) Precomp all layers in comp to create individual trimmed comps

    So far so good.

    8) Batch send comps to Media Encoder from AE
    9) set encoding template and destination in AME
    10) process to h264

My guess is that AME wants to start rendering right away….and the media from AE (now in comps) hasn’t finished conforming yet.

Any thoughts or help would be appreciated…

    thanks!
