  • Media Offline in canvas, but it’s not?

    Hey Guys,

Thanks in advance for your help. I apologize if this issue has already come up on the forums, just couldn’t find it.

My hard drive accidentally got disconnected from my computer while I was working on a cut. I reconnected it, reset my scratch disk, and everything returned to normal, except for my canvas viewer. For some reason it still says “Media Offline,” and even after restarting FCP I cannot get it to go away.

    Any help? Thanks!

You can’t “reconnect” the media in the sequence? (Just select all the clips in the sequence, then right click on one of them and select “reconnect media”.

This happened to us yesterday also, after a power bump (need to get that UPS!) Anyway the poster frames in the bins and on the sequence say “media offline”, but the sequence plays ok. Reconnecting does not restore the poster frames. Most are subclips, but not all. Any suggestions please.

    Oops,

That should fix you right up as long as the media is still online…
