Media Mangae to HDV?
Greetings. Last year I edited 13, 30 minute episodes of a program for broadcast. It was shot with Sony Z1’s , but we down converted to SD on the way in because the broadcast masters had to be delivered in SD, and I didn’t want the hassel of editing in HDV. The season ran great, but now we have the possibility of airing the entire season in HD. Bummer for me cause now I have to re-edit, but now that I have a matrox MXO, editing in HDV will be an easier task – well at least i will get to see it on a external monitor as i edit ( 23″ ACD ) My question is…will the use of media manager make my life easier in order to re-capture the material in the native HDV codec? I hope so. If it works as well as I hope then all i will have to do is redo the graphics and everything else should fall into place in a HDV timeline?
