Media manager problem
Hello again.
I’m having a very strange problem with the media manager only allowing me to select entire clips rather than the selected parts of them.
Example: I have a sequence open. I want to copy only clip 1 of three clips from media clip which in it’s entirety is 10 GB.
When I select clip 1 and right click, and go to media manager it tells me that I am copying 10 GB file to 10 GB file. When I select clip 1, clip 2 and clip 3 (all from same master clip which is 10GB), it tells me that I am copying 10 GB clip to 10 GB clip.
What is happening is that the media manager is just not selecting the selection from the clip I have made, its just seeing the entire clip.
No-one at work has seen this problem before and they are talking about reinstalling FCP. Any ideas?

Basically every clip needs a REEL #, my projects use lots of imported QT’s that do not have REEL #’s associated with them but once i gave them all REEL #’s MM knocked it down from 50gbs to 2.3gbs. Boy did that ever save my day!!!

Thanks, I’ll give this a try. Media manager has generally been weird with me lately. But, Ill give it a go and report back.
