    Media Manager Lock

    My machine:
    Mac OS X 10.5.5
    Dual 3GHz Quad Core
    8 GB Ram

    Network:
    XSAN 2

    Final Cut 6.0.5

    I am having trouble media managing a sequence. The original media is approximately 650gig. After setting media manger to “use existing clips, 2 second handles, and base file names on clips” and starting media manager I am prompted with a box that tells me the files are locked and will be skipped.

    I have double check the permissions on the clip files themselves and they are not locked. I have not locked the timeline. No other user is referencing the clips.

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Maybe you could use “copy” instead of “use existing” and throw away the original media afterwards?
