Media Manager Issue
Here is my situation. I’m trying to clean up some sloppy work on a documentary project from a previous editor, on the producers Mac Book. The footage is spread out between two external drives and the desktop of the Mac Book. I’m trying to move everything with Media Manager to a third external hard drive so that it’s all in one place and most importantly not on the desktop anymore. When I do this everything is moved except the files on the desktop. Everything from the two hard drives is moved but not the desktop files. Does anyone have any idea what I’m doing wrong?

FCP tends to have issues with footage that doesn’t have a REEL name. Try adding that. Or, if you know which files on the desktop, simply manually copy them over, then put the originals in the trash (but do not empty it), and then reconnect to the files on the external.
