Media Manager HQ to non HQ
I have a project where my assistant editor captured a bunch of footage ProRes HQ before realizing that he didn’t need the HQ – if I use Media Manager to Recompress the footage to just plain old ProRes will the footage degrade noticeably? Are there any downsides to doing it this way versus retranscoding the original material (AVCIntra100)?

I would re-import the AVCIntra footage rather than transcode. That would look better…and I would think it would be faster too.
