Media Manager “error code of 2”
I am trying to move and consolidate a HD project in ProRes at 24P to an external drive to be sent off for color correction. I am using media manager , selecting copy , checking “delete unused media”, handles at 2 sec., use “existing file names”, checking “Duplicate selected items…”. During this process I get an error that basically says file can not be copied due to “error code of 2”. At this point it gives me the option to “skip” file, “retry”, or “abort”. Retry never works. I have tried this several times and I have never had a successful transfer. The error never occurs on the same file, and it has gone as far as 60 percent complete, though sometimes as little as 10 percent before the error occurs. Once this error occurs if I skip the file it can not copy, the next file can not be copied as well. This continues unitl at least half of the clips are not copied. If I continue to copy the files manually and then reconnect I will exceed the size of the external HD.
Does anyone know what “error of 2” is? and What can I do to get around it?
Here are the specs:
1st edition Mac Pro Quad
FCP 6.0.3
OS 10.4.11
latest QT
ProRes422 clips captured form HDCAM 24P
project source files located over three internal drives( totaling over 2TB)
clips have reel numbers and are short file names (typically something like 104_2 or 104A_2, following “scene number”+”angle number”_”take number”)
moving takes only 280GBI have tried to MM to an external firewire800 drive as well as an internal drive with no success.
Thanks,
