  • Media Manager – Consolidating cut creates ‘white’ empty quicktimes

I’m trying to consolidate a project edited at 1080 apple pro res HQ @23.98 and when trying to export a consolidation of our cut, i keep getting empty blank ‘white’ frames in all of the exported quicktimes.
I’m deleting unused media when consolidating, so i can’t just pass along an auto consolidated cut to any effects house without exporting each clip individually. exporting individually works without problem.

It works fine when working in DVCPro, but I feel the apple pro res codec is giving me the problem.

working with fcp 7.0.1, with kona 3 cards.
i’ve gotten the same results on several different systems

anyone else getting this or have any ideas?

Does the machine you are checking the files from have FCP?

White usually means there’s no codec installed.

that would be a no brainer if it didn’t have FCP on that computer, but yes, it does. this occurs even on they system i’ve made the consolidation from.

    still no solutions.

Just had the same thing happen to me. Media manager is working fine on our machine with Snow Leopard. On our machine with Lion, it’s exporting these “white” quicktimes. Boo.
