Media Management Problem with FCP 7 / Merged Clips change their names
Hello,
I’m currently working in a project and I’m in hell because all of the merged audio clips have adopted the name of the video clip that are linked to them.
First I synced all the video clips with the audio clips and linked them. Until then I had no problems. Afterward, I had to switch from a huge hard drive to a smaller one (because I was going to travel for a couple of days) hence I used the Media Manager to extract the clips from the sequences that I was going to edit, because I didn’t want to miss the deadline.
The problem came when I switched back to the original disk. When I started reconnecting the media, the audio files automatically renamed themselves after the video file that they were linked to. I did try to reconnect them manually, but it hasn’t worked either. The problem is that after I used the Media Manager the merged clips won’t reconnect properly.
I’m desperate because I don’t know what is causing this mess,
can somebody help me?
