January 8, 2011 at 12:23 pmwhich version of AME are you on? i remember having an issue on CS3 where many of my AE plugins installed themselves into an Adobe Common folder. After moving them out and into the AE plugin’s folder Media Encoder worked fine.
not sure if that will help, it doesn’t seem to be an issue with cs5 though…good luck

January 9, 2011 at 10:26 pmyeah i mean After Effects.
most plugins install themselves in an Adobe Common folder which is then accessed by both AE and Prem, but i found in cs3 and possibly cs4 that this caused a problem for the media encoder.
the folder can be found at Library/application support/Adobe/Common/Plugins.I choose to then remove the plugs to their respective application plugin folders for AE and Prem.
(Prem’s plugin folder you need to right click “show package contents”on the prem icon, then its under contents/plugins/common.)however this may not be your problem… was simply a suggestion
A good place to start may be with the “yellow triangle symbol” that is displayed on your AME.
that should give you a text file description of the issue. maybe copy and google that error…??hope that helps
