  media encoder stalling

  Hey everyone,

  minor issue involving Media Encoder (13.0.02).

  Setup a batch encode thru premiere last night. The original media is linked through ethernet to another drive. It encoded thru the first 4-5 files easily then just ‘hung’ in the middle of a file overnight. No error messages, no indication of connection (to media) loss, no sign of media encoder app freeze (I could pause/stop the encode).

  I reset the entire encode this morning and again went through a few files, then hung. Kinda getting annoyed.

  Couple other specs. This is a recently installed computer (12 core) running Mac Os Sierra. I’ve disabled the CUDA rendering as I think I need to re-install the drivers, no playback engine only. I’ve set OS energy saver to ‘NEVER’ although the screen goes to screen saver mode and requires password to wake up after 30 minutes. Plenty of room on the target drive.

  Anyway, any help or suggestions that would help it run smoother would be appreciated. Thanks!
