Media Encoder Just Stops Rendering
This issue has happened multiple times. I send a sequence to Adobe Media Encoder and hit render. The process begins and about halfway through, it just stops. The elapsed time and remaining time are no longer moving. The menu and buttons still work so the program has not locked up but the encoding process just stops. If I try to cancel the encode, the program will then lock up and I have to force quit. I have a system monitor on my status bar and the processors are hardly showing any activity. When the encoding starts, the processors are working at full. When the encoding gets to halfway, the status bar shows as if the processors are idling.
The footage I’m rendering was shot on a 5D Mark III and tanscoded to DNxHD 115. This happens when trying to encode to MPEG2 and H.264.
I’m using an iMac 3.1 GHZ Intel Core i5 with 32 GB of RAM and running OS X 10.8.5. The drives the footage is stored on and being accessed from is a LaCie 3TB Firewire Disk.
