Media Encoder AAC Bitrates are always wrong
We are a professional video post-production facility. We are asked for digital deliverables with very strict specifications. Unfortunately, it appears that Adobe Media Encoder (we’ve tried 2019 and 2018) doesn’t encode AAC audio bitrates properly.
When AME is told to encode audio at 192Kbps, it comes out at 189.4Kbps (according to Telestream Switch). This is enough to get the spot bounced by the trafficking company (in this case Innovid).
When encoded with Squeeze, the file comes out with a bitrate of 192.1Kbps. Innovid has no issue with those files.
The same pattern follows with other bitrates being slightly off with AME, and Squeeze nails them.

Does anyone have any ideas about how to fix this? I suspect it’s just a bug / flaw in AME and would require them to patch their software.
