ITS A PC. My video card is not the suggested one but my friend has the same system and his works fine. I only have 2 gig of ram though. i was mistaken. I saw onsome posts that hyperthreading needed turned off. No ideal what that is. is there a way to allocate the ram or is it from background programs running. the error message pops up right before the programs gets into edit mode.

so i have a dual athlon processor and hyperthreading doesnt mean anything. back to the drawing board.

Also, what programs do have running? Anti-virus? Photoshop? Have you tweaked your system for Avid?

In addition, what video card exactly are you using? What exactly does the error message say?
